Learn
how to turn your love & talent for Basic Floral
Design into a successful based Floral Business. In Basic
Floral Design course you will learn the basic concepts
of flower arranging, including the principles of design.
Instruction will emphasize floral supplies, flower conditioning,
specialized floral mechanics, and the "tricks of
the trade." You will use the instruction to create
arrangements in each session to take home afterwards.
If you want to become a better floral designer, this
is the place to start.
After
having mastered the basics of floral design, you will
want to learn to combine elements and principles of
design to create arrangements in many different styles.
In this hands-on course, discover advanced techniques
including: basing, focal area, point, multipoint, terracing,
grouping and clustering, zoning and sequencing, banding
and binding, formal linear, parallel systems, and new
convention. Fresh flowers, as well as dried and fresh
materials from the garden will be used to create arrangements
to take home after each session.
You will learn techniques for creating different designs
including: hand-tied bouquets; preserving, drying, and
arranging everlasting flowers; special floral shapes
such as topiaries, candle arrangements, and centerpieces;
and floral designs with plants, where you will design
garden baskets or arrangements using plants and fresh
flowers. This Basic Floral Design will benefit the experienced
designer in securing additional wedding, party, home
decorating and advanced design work. The creation of
this expansive section of our web site has been as exciting
as it has been exhausting.
